The Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday issued a Certificate of Return to the Chairman-elect of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Sabo and other elected chairmen of Abuja area councils.
Abdulahi Sabo of the PDP who polled 19,090 votes at the recent concluded FCT area council election, to defeat the incumbent Chairman, Abdulahi Galadima of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured 15,187 votes to emerge as a newly- elected Chairman of Kuje Area Council.
In an interview with the press men present, reassures of his commitment to keep to campaign promises to Kuje residents, and that his first step as he assumes office is to embark on infrastructural development projects across Kuje communities.
According to him, he would embark on rehabilitation of dilapidated roads to reduce the plights of the residents and to boost council’s agricultural and socio-economic activities.
He says, “l will provide more of infrastructural facilities like electricity among other amenities, empowerment programmes for the youths and women.
”I will ensure good representation, poverty alleviation and good economic policy for the development of the economy”.
He added, that he will run all-inclusive administration where everyone would be carried along in policy formation, execution as well in programmes that would add value to their lives- Kuje communities.
He also seized the opportunity to advise the Kuje Area council youths, to shun all forms of vices, as no community can move ahead under an atmosphere of conflict and rancor. He promised to work hard to make life better for the people of the Kuje Area Council.
