FG NEED TO OPEN UP OUTSOURCING PROCESSES.
The Nigeria Association of Information Technology-Enabled Outsourcing Companies (NAITEOC) has called on the Federal government to put enable policy and infrastructures framework in place to foster the progress of Business Processes Outsourcing in Nigeria (BPO ). Said, ” To harness economic growth, wealth and job creation BPO offers, there is a need for Nigeria government to put in place an enabling policy and infrastructural platform that will promote and position the nation to function among others in the global field. He further stressed, ” Outsourcing processes involves maximum system availability, security and quality of support that entails use of the state-of-the-art technologies available on the market”
And that developing required curriculum for the educational sector will boost capacity building among the youth.
He noted that a vibrant outsourcing sector would not only help to create jobs, it would also promote economic development and accountability in government.
The Nigeria Association of Information Technology Enabled Outsourcing Companies (NAITEOC) is a body established by the Federal Ministry of Communications for the growth and development of the outsourcing industry in Nigeria.
One of the cardinal objectives of the Association is to promote and position Nigeria as a competitive alternative destination of choice to countries wishing to outsource their back-end operations.
The stakeholders forum is presently on at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja under the theme: “Outsourcing: A catalyst for Change, Economic Growth, Job and Wealth Creation” slated from 5 to 7th December. According to one of the organiser, “The industry is set to catalyze the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari and support his strive for the economy”, he says.
