Dr. John Shekwogaza Gabaya, the newly elected Chairman of Bwari Area Council, FCT, under the Peoples Democrat Party (PDP) joined other six FCT Area Councils Chairmen to recieve his certificate of return.
He reassured his committment as promised to fulfill all his electoral campaign promises to bring about infrastructural development across communities in the area as he assumes office.
Hon. John Shekwogaza Gabaya gave the assurance in an interview with the Newsmen after he received his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja Thursday.
Gabaya scored the highest vote of 31,114 to defeat the incumbent chairman, Mr. Musa Dikko ( of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who scored 24,137 at the FCT supplementary election held March 23.
Gabaya said he would embark on making his campaign promises a reality to reduce the plights of the residents and also to boost their agricultural and socio-economic activities.
However, he promised to work with everyone and to key into positive policies and programmes that would add value to the lives of the people in the area.
He called on everyone including the elected councillors to join and kick the ball rolling for the developmental growth of the Bwari communities and, thanks all who voted him, and assured all that his administration will be all-inclusive that no-one will be left behind.
Priorly, Malam Mohammed Bello, the Minister of FCT, called on the chairmen and councillors to key into the anti-corruption fight of President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that all financial regulatory procedure must be followed.
